Nestled deep in the mountains of up state New York, is an important research facility. For them to do any kind of construction would cost them considerably more than if they were closer to a city. "The whole purpose of our foundation is to provide peace and tranquility to conduct our important studies. The further we are from a major city, the more peaceful it is." Says Dr. Norman, founder of the facility.

So when they decided to install a lap pool they followed the normal quotation routine. "We received over five bids and the least expensive was just over 100 grand." Points out Samantha Duffy, Project Manager."Yes the project was important to us, but not at that price." But she did not give up on the project. And like any good researcher, she took to the internet and found really ez pools. At first she was just poking around our website until she saw what one woman did in Florida with one of our pools. Ms. Duffy printed the page, took it to her construction manager and asked, "Can you do this?" Jim looked it over, saw potential and said he could do this.

The next few weeks were filled with planning, work and preparedness. They ordered a 7' x 42' long portable lap pool package from us and received in less than a few weeks. Having already dug the hole and made some preliminary starts on the deck, they were ready and waiting for the pool to arrive. Once it arrived, they dove in to the assembly (which took them about 1 hour), then finished off the deck. The end result with labor, materials and our package was final total cost that was 1/10th the lowest bid. "It's just like we say at each board meeting - see what a little research can do."
